In a convent on the outskirts of the village, we spend our days in prayer and labor. We cultivate the fields, care for the animals, and offer prayers to God. It's a peaceful and fulfilling life.
"Have you gotten used to it here yet, Naomi?"
I call out to a woman who has recently joined the convent.
"Yes, thanks to you—did you think I'd say that? There's no way I could get used to a place like this."
I don't know what kind of life she led before coming to the convent. It is undeniable that this life is lacking in excitement, but... Someday, Naomi will understand the value of a peaceful daily life.
However—suddenly, the convent is attacked by armed forces... Our days of prayer and labor were brutally shattered. Many of the sisters were abducted by them.
