The downfall of the Sacred Kingdom of Austin––

The entire world learned of this occurrence coinciding with the ancient evil archmage Ashley Garlands resurgence.

At that point, the legendary sorcerer had become nothing more than an old fairy tale for mankind. But the news of the swift fall of not only the Sacred Kingdom but also the religious state of Astoria and the elven settlements in the Forest of Mirage reminded humanity of the threat.

Facing the peril head-on, all felt the urgency for immediate action.

But the nations could not reach a consensus: some allied and formed an armed division to combat Ashley; others banked on defense, expectant the situation would turn around. Some were even scheming to gain Ashley as their ally. Chaos reigned.

Meanwhile, Ashley observed the quarreling strife with a weary smile and spent his days immersing himself in magical research to aid his real ambition instead. For him, invasion or world domination was just a means to an end - it was rather a chore.

His real aim was to get rid of a congenital genetic disorder he still could not find a clue to solve. To overcome this blight, he engaged in the study of crossbreeding to create an entirely new ecosystem.

In the midst of all of this, Ashley learned that the female-led empire of Gareth, located west of the Sacred Kingdom, was rapidly expanding its army. Gareth, which bears some resemblance to the females-only Sacred Kingdom, had been allied with the Sacred Kingdom to keep the emerging state of Astoria, which had been imposing its religious views on the world, under control.

After Ashley took control of the Sacred Kingdom, they broke the alliance and severed diplomatic relations. At that point, Empress Berta Tristan made her move to invade.

When Ashley learned this was due to completing their research and manufacturing process of artificial subhumans, it stirred his curiosity. He decided to divert his attention from his experiments, entrust the Kingdom to his loyal servants and start taking direct action...
